NFP PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has responded to a viral video where a woman accused the police of beating her son, Erasmus, to death while in custody.
Adejobi stated that Erasmus was a suspected cultist arrested for allegedly raping and murdering a woman with an accomplice. He clarified that Erasmus was not subjected to torture by the police.
According to the autopsy report, Erasmus died due to asphyxiation. Adejobi emphasized that the police did not cause his death, stating: “We did not kill Erasmus.”
Asphyxiation means suffocation.
