A heartbreaking incident unfolded at Saints Academy in Jos, Plateau State, when a school building suddenly collapsed on July 12, 2024.
The two-storey building collapsed while students were taking exams, trapping many underneath the rubble. Rescue teams rushed to the scene, using cranes to search for survivors.
Throughout the day, parents arrived at the scene in tears, desperately searching for their children. The situation was tense as rescuers worked tirelessly to free those trapped.
Sadly, the toll of the disaster became clear as reports confirmed that some students lost their lives and others were injured.
In a tragic turn, it was later reported that parents who lost four of their children in the collapse also passed away, overwhelmed by grief.
