U.S. law enforcement officials are investigating the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania as an attempted assassination of the former president.
The incident claimed the lives of both the shooter and one of Trump’s supporters.
The U.S. Secret Service confirmed the former President’s safety in a recent statement. Trump was quickly escorted off stage and is currently undergoing medical evaluation at a local facility.
President Joe Biden issued a statement condemning “this kind of violence” and offering his prayers for former President Donald Trump in response to the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania.
