Donald Trump’s campaign has raised over $4 million (approximately N1.65 billion) for the families of the three men involved in Saturday’s assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, either killed or injured.
The sanctioned GoFundMe page, endorsed by Trump, has surpassed $4,328,763 (approximately N1.79 billion), exceeding its original $1 million goal.
Donations will support the families of firefighter Corey Comperatore, 50; David Dutch, 57; and James Copenhaver, 74, as they mourn or await recovery.
The Trump team verified the authenticity of the GoFundMe to The Hill, noting the two surviving victims are in stable condition at hospitals.
The campaign’s description reads: “President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt. All donations will be directed to these proud Americans as they grieve and recover. May God bless and unite our nation.”

The largest donation, $50,000 (approximately N20.7 million), reportedly came from former Trump donor Steve Wynn, a billionaire and ex-casino operator known for his GOP support.
Corey Comperatore, described as a brave firefighter who died protecting his family at the rally, was memorialized on the GoFundMe page as “a patriot, husband, son, and father,” with a promise that “This country will always remember you.”
