Following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, Nigerian labour unions have accepted the proposed N70,000 minimum wage increase.
This announcement comes after negotiations between the government and unions.
According to the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, the president presented the offer during a meeting at the Presidential Villa earlier today.
Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President Joe Ajaero, flanked by his counterpart from the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Festus Osifo, and other labour leaders, confirmed the acceptance.
