Real Madrid and Luka Modric have agreed to a one-year contract extension, keeping the Croatian midfielder at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2025.
The 38-year-old’s previous deal was set to expire this summer.
Modric, a legend for both club and country, has solidified his place in Real Madrid history. Since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, he has become a midfield maestro, making a staggering 534 appearances for the club.
In that time, he has directly contributed to countless victories, scoring 39 goals and providing an impressive 83 assists across all competitions. His trophy cabinet boasts an incredible 26 titles, including six Champions League titles and four La Liga championships.
Despite his veteran status, Modric remains a valuable asset. Last season, he contributed two goals and six assists in 46 appearances across all competitions, even with some coming off the bench.
