A British Airways pilot, Tim Capron, aged 37, is facing accusations of recording himself spanking a nude cabin crew member and distributing the video without her consent.
The alleged incident occurred after Capron met the woman on Tinder, where they discussed their sexual fantasies. Following a sexual encounter, Capron reportedly asked the woman to wear a blindfold while he used a crop to strike her backside. Subsequently, he shared images and videos of the incident with acquaintances via WhatsApp.
At the Reading Crown Court in the UK, details emerged during proceedings that the woman confronted Capron upon discovering his actions, prompting him to express remorse, saying, “I am so sorry. I am glad that you caught me doing it because I should not have done it.”
The Sun UK reported that Capron was arrested in September 2021 after the woman reported the incident to authorities. Further revelations in court included messages where Capron, who earns £90,000 (N47.7 million) annually as a pilot, allegedly sought approval from another BA pilot, Steve Farnworth, to share videos while the woman was blindfolded.
Prosecutor Stefan Weidmann emphasized Capron’s understanding that his behavior was inappropriate, underscoring his education and profession.
Capron, suspended by British Airways on full pay since December, admitted to his mistake, attributing it to a misguided belief that the woman would welcome sharing the experience with others.
The court also heard about Capron’s previous involvement in threesomes and being recorded himself.
Currently residing in Taplow, Berkshire, England, Capron denies a charge of voyeurism as the trial continues.
