Hon. Philip Agbese, Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, addressed journalists in Abuja on Thursday, July 18, advising Senator Ali Ndume to embrace teamwork and collaboration following his removal as Majority Whip of the Senate.
Agbese remarked that Ndume’s removal adhered to standard parliamentary practices observed worldwide.
He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the nation’s interests over individual pursuits and stressed the necessity for unity and focus within the government.
Agbese urged Senator Ndume to consider these principles moving forward.
He said: “Some persons don’t understand that the parliament and the executive are two parallel lines of necessity.
“Senator Ndume should take note of this and embrace the principles of teamwork and collaboration, rather than seeking to divide and distract the government from its laudable reforms.
“He should put Nigeria first, rather than seeking to divide and distract the government. Let us work together to address the challenges facing our country. We will not be distracted by individual interests or personal agendas.”
