A 40-year-old woman, Aji, has been arrested by the Borno State Police Command for allegedly killing her husband with an axe during a domestic dispute.
The incident occurred in Kautikari village, located in the Chibok Local Government Area.
Police spokesman, ASP Nahum Daso, confirmed the arrest. Aji is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
ASP Nahum Daso said: “Lydia Aji struck her husband on his head with an axe and he d!ed instantly.
“Investigation further revealed that the couple had a misunderstanding over their daughter, Rachael Aji 13, who stole a goat and sold it to an unknown person.
“The angry father then asked them to leave his house. The case is still under investigation.”
