A newlywed Nigerian couple tragically died after a gas explosion ripped through their home on Thursday, July 11th, 2024.
Caleb Enyinnaya and his pregnant wife, Glory, had just celebrated their traditional wedding on July 7th. According to Uzochi Walton Enyinnaya, Caleb’s brother, the couple suffered serious injuries in the explosion.
Glory succumbed to her injuries on July 13th, while Caleb passed away just four days later on July 17th.
The cause of the gas explosion remains under investigation. Gas explosions are a recurring hazard in Nigeria, often attributed to leaks from poorly maintained infrastructure or improper handling of gas cylinders.
