Police Sergeant Sunday Wadzani has been arrested after allegedly shooting his father dead in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Sunday, July 21st.
The incident occurred behind the State Police Command headquarters in Moduganari, according to a security source who spoke to Daily Trust. Wadzani is currently in custody at GRA Police Station.
The details surrounding the shooting remain unclear. An investigation is likely underway.
“A police sergeant by the name Sgt. Sunday Wadzani serving in Borno state command today 21st July 2024 this evening at about 1620hrs shot his father Rtd. Asp Wadzani Ntasiri seven times after a minor feud at Maiduguri,” a document filed on the incident read.
