A 14-year-old boy named Malik Kareem was tragically killed for a ritual in Ibadan by his three friends and an Alfa, according to Punch.
Malik, who had just completed his final West African Examination subject, had gone to meet the Alfa for a ritual along with his three friends. Unknown to Malik, his friends had conspired with the Alfa to use him in the ritual.
Someone who overheard the boys discussing the ritual quickly informed Malik’s family. However, by the time his family arrived at the Alfa’s location, Malik and his friends had already fled, leaving behind Malik’s decapitated body.
The Alfa and the three friends are currently at large. Reports indicate that the Alfa had promised the friends that Malik’s head would be burned and used in a concoction to make them rich. The horrifying incident occurred in Ibadan on Saturday.
