Two Brothers Arrested for Attacking Police, Drug Dealing in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command’s Raider Squad have apprehended two brothers, Adodo Irorehe (62) and Godwin Isaac Irorehe (40), for allegedly attacking police officers and engaging in illicit drug trade.

The duo was arrested during a raid on a notorious drug-selling location in the state. According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Joel Moses Yamu, the suspects, who own the premises, opened fire on the police with guns upon their arrival, damaging the officers’ vehicle.

Despite the attack, the police managed to overpower the suspects and recover an array of weapons and drugs. These include one double barrel gun, one single barrel gun, four expended cartridges, nine live cartridges, and substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.

Yamu confirmed that the arrested brothers will be prosecuted in court upon completion of the ongoing investigation.
