EFCC Arrests Suspected Internet Fraudster in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a man suspected of internet fraud and money laundering in Abuja. Hyginus Nkwocha, 35, was apprehended at Ever Green Estate, following intelligence reports linking him to illicit online activities.

According to a statement released by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, Nkwocha was found in possession of a substantial amount of cash, high-end electronic devices, and luxury vehicles. Items recovered from the suspect included $2,200, several smartphones, a laptop, jewelry, and three cars: a Mercedes Benz ML 350, a Chevrolet Camaro, and a Mustang.

In addition, the EFCC seized properties belonging to Nkwocha in various locations in Lagos and Abuja. These properties are located at Cookies Court 2 in Ocean Palm Estate, Ajah, Lagos, Unit C8 on Lugbe Airport Road, Abuja, and Cookies Court 2, 2nd Avenue, Ocean Palm Estate, Ogombo, Lagos State.

The EFCC has indicated that Nkwocha will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations into his alleged crimes.
