Four Farmers Killed in Boko Haram Attack in Borno State

Four farmers were killed by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Kerawa, a border community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The incident occurred on Thursday, August 22, 2024, between 12 and 1 PM while the farmers were working on their farms.

This attack comes nearly two months after multiple explosions killed over thirty people in Gwoza town.

Bukar Aji, the Counsellor of Jimini ward, and Yakubu Ali, the chairman of the Kerawa community association, confirmed the incident to Channels TV.

Kerawa town is a border town with Cameroon, located in the Mandara mountains where the terrorists are known to hide.

The Divisional Police Officer of Gwoza division, when contacted by Channels Television, said he was unaware of the development but promised to verify the report.
