A video shared by a wedding guest on the TikTok handle @Muhammadabdullah5685 captures the unusual scene, where the groom and bride are seen seated far apart at their wedding reception and refusing to look at each other.
The groom displayed an angry expression, while the bride appeared timid, leaning into someone who placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Throughout the event, the couple did not acknowledge guests who showered them with 10 and 20 naira notes, nor did they smile.
Later, the bride was observed frowning while dancing alone on the dance floor, without her groom.
