Victor Agunbiade, a US Naval Officer, announced the news on X, extending his congratulations to Ndukwe.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, meet the newest US Navy Captain Kelechi Ndukwe. The first Nigerian to have a command of a US Navy warship! Congratulations on your promotion, Captain! Well deserved!!!” Agunbiade wrote.
