A 35-year-old man, Emmanuel Urhobocha, was found dead in his apartment in Sango-Ota, Ogun State, on Friday, August 30. The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident on Saturday.
According to the police spokesperson, Odutola Omolola, Urhobocha’s roommate, Obabiyi David, reported to the Sango-Ota Police Division that his flatmate was acting strangely and had even attacked him with a knife. David sustained injuries in the attack.
When police officers arrived at Urhobocha’s residence, they found the door locked from inside. Upon forcing entry, they discovered the suspect lying face down in the apartment. A container of insecticide was found near his body.
Urhobocha was immediately taken to a local hospital, but he was pronounced dead by a doctor. His body has been moved to a morgue for an autopsy, and the police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
