Big Brother Naija star Francisca Owumi has died after a brief illness. Her family announced her passing on social media on August 29, 2024.
They shared her photos with the caption: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace. Amen.”
Francisca was the first runner-up on the inaugural Big Brother Nigeria reality TV show in 2006.
She was known for her energetic dance moves and competed alongside Katung Aduwak, the show’s winner, as well as Ebuka Obi Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Maureen Osuji, Ify Ejikeme, and the late Joseph Ada.
After the show, Francisca released two singles, “Gbadun You” and “Diva,” and briefly entered the Nigerian music industry.
