Gunmen have killed at least six people in a community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Congo.
Sources from the community told Daily Trust that one person injured in the attack is in critical condition and receiving medical care.
The gunmen attacked a market in Daffo ward around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, opening fire shortly after the market had closed for the day.
Most traders and customers had left, leaving only a few people behind.
The incident has increased tension in the area, as various communities in Bokkos LGA have faced attacks recently.
