Two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, were killed in a tragic road accident on the Akure-Ondo Expressway.
On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, who were riding a motorcycle, were struck and crushed by a speeding vehicle.
The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council, Ondo State Chapter, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Thursday. The statement, signed by Chairman Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua, General Secretary Oluwanishola Ajibola, and Public Relations Officer Kehinde Blessing, expressed the profound impact of the tragedy.
“This loss is a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community. The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life. These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.” the statement read.
