The Nigerian Senate has announced a one-week postponement of its resumption date from the annual summer break.
Originally scheduled to return on September 17, 2024, the Senate will now reconvene on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11 AM.
The memo read: “Please be informed that the resumption date from the ongoing recess has been rescheduled from Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11 am.
“Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
The decision was made by the Senate leadership and communicated to lawmakers in an internal memo.
The Senate has been on recess since July 23.
