Stephen Aniagu, the chairman of the Ogbete Market Trader’s Association (OMATA) in Enugu State, was fatally shot by suspected assassins on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
The incident occurred around 7:00 PM in the Topland area of Enugu. According to reports, Aniagu was driving home when his vehicle was stopped by gunmen, who opened fire on him.
A graphic video of the aftermath shows Aniagu’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood, surrounded by shocked onlookers.
