A hit-and-run driver fatally struck an unidentified man at the Onipanu Bus Stop in Lagos State on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9 pm along Funsho-Williams Avenue in the Fadeyi area.
According to Nosa Okunbor, the Head of Public Affairs at the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the driver fled the scene after hitting the victim. LASEMA responded to the emergency and provided immediate medical attention to the injured man.
Despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the Trauma Centre in Gbagada.
The body was subsequently handed over to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit for proper disposal.
