A teenage boy was arrested after a horrifying rampage at a Russian school, leaving a 13-year-old girl critically injured. The suspect, Roman G, attacked his classmates with a hammer and knife, injuring at least four people.
The most serious injury was sustained by a 13-year-old girl who had her throat slit and was struck on the head with a hammer. She underwent emergency surgery to save her life. Another girl was also undergoing surgery, while several others were injured in the attack.
Hours before the incident, Roman G posted a rant on social media criticizing Russian President Putin, accusing him of “enslaving the population” and “Nazism.” Investigators are still trying to determine the motive behind the attack.
According to reports, the suspect entered the school during a biology lesson and began attacking students and the teacher with a hammer. He then fled the classroom and continued his rampage in the hallway.
Roman G was eventually detained by the National Guard and taken to a psychiatrist. All injured victims, including the biology teacher, were transported to the hospital.
The teacher, Nina Shoshina, recounted the terrifying ordeal, describing how the attacker entered the classroom armed with a gun and a hammer. She bravely intervened to protect her students, but was injured in the process.
