A brutal attack by bandits on two churches in Bakinpah-Maro, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has resulted in the deaths of three people and the kidnapping of 30 others.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Sunday when a large group of assailants arrived and targeted both an ECWA church and a Catholic church. Among the victims was a pastor from one of the churches, Bernard Gajera.
“The bandits came in large numbers and attacked the two churches,” the former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, confirmed the incident, as reported by The Nation.
The police have yet to release a statement regarding the attack.
This attack comes amidst ongoing efforts by the Maro community to establish a security post to address persistent security issues that have hindered farming activities in the area.
