Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Arrested in Manhattan Amidst Federal Investigation and Assault Allegations

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the American rap mogul whose prominence has waned amid allegations of sex trafficking and assault, was arrested by federal agents in Manhattan late Monday, according to a statement from the U.S. federal court.

Damian Williams, the attorney for the Southern District of New York, revealed that the arrest was based on a sealed indictment filed by his office.

Williams noted, “We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time,” but he did not disclose additional details about the charges.

In response, Combs’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that Combs had voluntarily moved to New York in anticipation of the charges. Agnifilo expressed disappointment with what he described as an “unjust prosecution” by the US Attorney’s Office.

The rapper is facing several civil lawsuits accusing him of being a violent sexual predator who allegedly used alcohol and drugs to control his victims.

Earlier this year, in March, Combs’s residences in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by federal agents in a highly publicized operation, indicating that a federal investigation and potential criminal charges were developing against him.

This marked a significant decline for Combs, who has recently attempted to rebrand himself as “Brother Love.”
