A 32-year-old man has been arrested by operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Ekiti State for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl. The suspect, Yakubu Maji, was apprehended on September 16 in Are/Afao-Ekiti.
According to the Amotekun Corps, the victim, Abdullai llmu, was sent on an errand by her mother when she was attacked by the suspect. The suspect lured the girl into his room with a bribe of N300 and threatened her with a cutlass to ensure her silence.
The victim’s mother revealed that this was the second time her daughter had been assaulted by the same suspect.
The suspect has been handed over to the Ekiti State police command for further investigation.
