Rapper Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has issued a strong demand to social activist VeryDarkMan. Falz is giving VDM 24 hours to publicly apologize for derogatory comments made about him and retract a false claim.
The controversy stems from a leaked audio conversation involving Bobrisky, a popular Nigerian socialite. In the audio, Bobrisky claimed to have spoken with Falz in prison and alleged that Falz and his father, Femi Falana, SAN, attempted to secure a presidential pardon for him.
VDM, in response to the audio, publicly expressed disgust with Falz and his father for associating with Bobrisky. He also made derogatory comments about Falz’s sexuality.
Falz, through a statement released by his father’s law firm, vehemently denied these allegations. He confirmed that Bobrisky had reached out to him for financial assistance but that he had refused the request. Falz emphasized that VDM’s comments were not only false but also damaging to his reputation.
Falz’s lawyers have demanded that VDM immediately retract the offensive statements and issue a public apology. They have warned that if VDM fails to comply within 24 hours, they will pursue legal action, including seeking monetary damages.
