A chilling incident has unfolded in Gujarat, India, where a school principal has been arrested for the murder of a six-year-old girl. The girl was allegedly choked to death after resisting the principal’s attempts to sexually assault her.
The girl’s body was found on the school premises on September 19, sparking panic among the community. A subsequent investigation revealed that she had been suffocated. Police launched an investigation and formed multiple teams to probe the matter.
The girl’s mother informed police that she accompanied the principal to school daily. When questioned, the principal initially claimed to have dropped the girl off at school before leaving for work. However, his phone location data revealed that he arrived at school later than usual on the day of the incident.
Under interrogation, the principal confessed to the crime. He admitted to picking up the girl from her home and attempting to sexually assault her on the way to school. When the girl resisted, he choked her to silence her.
The principal then dumped the girl’s body behind the school building and placed her belongings near her classroom. He initially denied involvement but was implicated by technical evidence.
The accused is facing stringent charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The state education minister has condemned the incident and vowed to take measures to prevent such crimes from happening again.
