A Kano magistrates’ court has ordered the remand of three youths in a correctional center for allegedly kidnapping a 4-year-old boy.
The accused, Hizbullah Salisu, Aliyu Abubakar, and Hassan Aliyu, were arrested on September 7, 2024, after kidnapping Muhammad Nasir and demanding a N10 million ransom. Negotiations led to the payment of N300,000.
Salisu, a cousin to the victim, is believed to have orchestrated the abduction.
The accused were charged with conspiracy, criminal offense, and kidnapping. They pleaded not guilty and were remanded in custody until October 30 for further court proceedings.
