Israel Eliminates Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah in Targeted Strike

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Israel announced that it had successfully eliminated Hezbollah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah in a targeted strike on Beirut, along with Ali Karki, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front, and several other terrorist commanders from the group.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed this via X, stating: “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world..”

The official X account of the State of Israel also confirmed the news, stating: “The Israeli @IDF confirms that Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Hezbollah terrorist organization and one of its founders, was eliminated yesterday, together with Ali Karki, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front, and additional Hezbollah commanders. Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

The Israeli Air Force’s official X account also confirmed the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, saying: “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

The post was quickly followed by a video captioned: “The Operation to Eliminate Nasrallah:

“The Chief of the General Staff commands the operation to eliminate the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, in the Israeli Air Force command center with the members of the General Staff Forum.”

Nasrallah, 64, has led the Shia Islamist terrorist group Hezbollah since 1992. Under his leadership, the organization has become a prominent regional player, providing training and support to other terrorist groups like Hamas in Iraq and Yemen, while also acquiring advanced weaponry from Iran.

To avoid numerous Israeli assassination attempts, Nasrallah has maintained a low public profile for years, opting to communicate with supporters through televised speeches and audio recordings.

The IDF’s announcement follows a week of intense Israeli military operations in Lebanon, which included the destruction of terrorists’ communication devices and the use of 2,000-pound bunker-buster bombs targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure in Beirut.

This provocation followed nearly a year of rocket fire from Nasrallah’s Hezbollah into Israel. One significant attack occurred on Saturday, July 27, 2024, when Hezbollah rockets struck a football field in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 people and injuries to several others, including children.
