Social critic Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Very Dark Man, appeared today before the House of Representatives investigation panel in response to an invitation concerning bribery allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Dressed in traditional Benin attire, Very Dark Man was accompanied by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.
The House has summoned key figures in the case, including EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyode and Comptroller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service Haliru Nababa, to discuss the allegations.
The bribery claims center around Bobrisky, who was sentenced to six months in prison earlier this year for currency abuse.
A trending audio clip released by Very Dark Man alleges that Bobrisky paid N15 million to the EFCC to drop initial money laundering charges and suggests he spent his time in a VIP facility instead of a standard prison.
