The Taraba State Government has strongly condemned the brutal treatment of a young boy, Musa Alhassan, by his teacher, Ahmadu Hassan, in the Saurara area of Jalingo.
In a statement released on Friday, October 4, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hon. Mary Sinjen, described the incident as a gross violation of human rights that would not be tolerated.
Musa Alhassan is currently receiving medical attention in Jalingo, with the state government closely monitoring his progress.
The government has assured the public that justice will be served and that there will be no impunity in this case.
The teacher responsible for the abuse, Ahmadu Hassan, has been arrested and handed over to law enforcement.
