ISWAP Attack Leaves One Dead in Yobe State

Suspected Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) insurgents launched an attack on Geidam town in Yobe State, resulting in one death.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the attack occurred early Saturday morning when insurgents stormed the town and detonated explosives.

Two customs vehicles were destroyed, and the grave of Khalifah Ayiloma was desecrated.

A 60-year-old night watchman, Dahiru Muhammadu, was shot during the attack and later died at a hospital.
