Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has sworn in the newly elected council chairmen of the 23 local government areas.
The ceremony took place at the Government House in Port Harcourt on October 6.
The swearing-in followed the issuance of certificates of return to the chairmen by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission.
The controversial LGA elections, held on October 5, saw the Action Peoples Party win 22 out of 23 chairmanship positions. The Action Alliance secured the remaining seat.
