Lawyer Deji Adeyanju has reported that singer Speed Darlington was arrested in Lagos on October 4 and taken to Abuja by the police.
According to Adeyanju, the arrest may be linked to a petition filed by Burna Boy following a video published by Speed Darlington in September.
Adeyanju wrote: ‘’We just spent the last 30mins with Speed Darlington and he narrated how he was arrested in Lagos Friday last week, moved around and eventually brought to Abuja and has been in detention since then. Petition against him was written by Burna Boy we can confirm.”

In the video, Speed Darlington questioned Burna Boy’s sexuality, suggesting that his rise to fame in the US and Grammy nomination were due to a close relationship with singer Diddy.
He made derogatory comments about Burna Boy’s appearance, implying that he had undergone cosmetic procedures.
