A man named Mlamuleli Mangena was killed in Coleen Bawn, Zimbabwe, during a violent confrontation related to a romantic dispute.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have arrested three individuals in connection with the incident, while a manhunt is underway for three more suspects involved in the attack.
The fatal altercation occurred on October 3, 2024, at Forest H60 Mine, where Mangena was assaulted with a sharp object amid a heated argument. Reports indicate that six individuals took part in the violent encounter.
ZRP spokespersons identified the arrested suspects as Trinity, Benito, and Mashelly, who allegedly struck Mangena on the head with a sharp object during the confrontation.
In addition to Mangena, another victim, 30-year-old Tinashe Chirenje, was seriously injured in the same incident. Chirenje was attacked with both a machete and an axe and is currently in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
Authorities are appealing for anyone with information about the remaining suspects to come forward. “Anyone with details about the suspects should report to the nearest police station as the investigation continues,” the ZRP urged.
