Officers from the Ondo State Police Command have arrested Ifeanyi Obiefunna, 36, and Joseph Agwu, 43, who are alleged to be part of a syndicate specializing in stealing vehicle brain boxes, tapping glasses, and other valuables from cars.
While presenting the suspects at the Command headquarters in Akure, Commissioner of Police Abayomi Oladipo announced that thorough investigative efforts led to the subsequent arrest of two additional members of the syndicate, Obinna Uyammadu, 32, and Onyeka Okoye, 38.
Oladipo noted that Joseph Agwu, a resident of Akure, admitted to selling second-hand goods, commonly referred to as Okrika, and acted as an informant, alerting other members of the group to come to the state for their operations before returning to Lagos.
The Commissioner stated that the suspects will face charges in court upon the completion of the investigation.
