Gunmen have attacked a family in the Jol community of Riyom local government area in Plateau State, resulting in the death of a pregnant woman and injuries to two others.
The assailants, believed to be Fulani terrorists, ambushed a man and his pregnant wife, Davou and Favour Raymond, as they were returning from an antenatal clinic.
Mrs. Favour Raymond lost her life in the attack, while her husband sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. Another victim, Mr. Dachollom Biri, was also attacked by gunmen and rushed to the hospital.
The National Body of Berom Youths Moulder Association (BYM) has condemned the violence and expressed concerns about the rising tension in the region.

They have urged the people of Jol to remain calm and patient while security agencies conduct their investigation.
The BYM has recommended that local residents suspend farming and other activities until adequate security measures are in place and has urged them to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
