Troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested three suspected bandits and a logistics supplier linked to terrorist activities in Taraba State.
According to a statement released on Thursday by Captain Olubodunde Oni, Acting Assistant Director of 6 Brigade Army Public Relations, the arrests followed credible intelligence reports.
A special operation was launched on October 7, 2024, in Andami, Karim Lamido Local Government Area, resulting in the arrest of the suspected bandits at Jeb-Jeb, a border community with Plateau State.
The arrested suspects were identified as Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu. They are believed to be responsible for a series of criminal activities, including armed robbery, kidnappings, and violent assaults on communities in the region.

Captain Olubodunde Oni said: “These arrests come as part of a broader effort of 6 Brigade to curb the rising wave of inter-state criminality within its Area of Operations.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects have been active in the state for several years and Investigation is in progress to apprehend other members of the criminal syndicate.”
In a separate operation in Bunka village of Lau LGA, troops arrested Musa Inusa, a key logistics supplier to a notorious terrorist group in Taraba State.

Inusa is alleged to have provided essential supplies and materials to terrorists operating in the area. His arrest is expected to disrupt the supply chain and weaken the operational capabilities of the terrorist group.
