Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has been ruled out of England’s Nations League game against Finland on Sunday, October 13.
The Three Lions confirmed that Saka will return to Arsenal for further assessment after being substituted during their match against Greece.
Liverpool’s Curtis Jones will also miss the Finland match due to a personal commitment.
A statement on the England men’s team’s official website read: “Curtis Jones and Bukayo Saka will not travel to Finland. Saka has returned to Arsenal for further assessment having been substituted during the second-half of Thursday night’s match against Greece.
“Liverpool’s Jones remains in England owing to a personal commitment. A squad of 22 will now fly to Helsinki on Saturday afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Nations League fixture.”
Saka’s injury is a setback for Arsenal, who are currently third in the English Premier League table. The Gunners will continue to monitor Saka’s condition and work on his recovery.
They will next play on October 19 against Bournemouth.
