A Thai husband knocked a tourist unconscious on Pattaya Beach after the tourist allegedly sexually harassed his wife during a selfie.
The tourist, who had been drinking with two friends under a coconut tree at a popular British tourist spot, reportedly asked a group of young Thai women for photos. The women agreed, and the men took turns posing for more than five pictures.
However, during the last pose, an Indian national allegedly touched one of the women and attempted to kiss her, provoking a furious reaction from her husband.
The husband confronted the tourist and punched him in the face, knocking him out cold.
Although the tourist’s friends called for emergency help after noticing a large gash above his eye, he refused hospital treatment and insisted the police be called. Medics subsequently contacted law enforcement.
The tourist group claimed the injured man was a victim of an unprovoked attack, but one of the women, identified as A, provided video evidence that contradicted their story.
A police officer eventually took the injured man to Pattaya City Hospital. It remains unclear whether authorities will pursue further investigation into the incident.
