Neighbours Rescue Young Boy Trapped in Drainage Pipe in Zimbabwe Suburb

In a dramatic rescue, neighbours in a Bulawayo suburb of Zimbabwe came to the aid of a young boy who became trapped inside a drainage pipe while playing with friends.

The child was enjoying a fun afternoon when he crawled into an unused cement drainage pipe as part of their game. What began as an adventurous moment quickly turned problematic when he got stuck and was unable to escape. Despite his friends’ efforts to help him, the boy remained trapped, growing increasingly distressed.

Hearing his cries for help, nearby residents rushed to assist. A group of men worked together to hoist the pipe upright and positioned it in a small hole to help leverage the boy’s weight and free him.

His friends watched and couldn’t help but laugh at the situation as the boy shouted from inside the pipe. After several minutes of careful shaking and pulling, the neighbours successfully freed the child. One of his friends then helped him out and dusted him off.

Fortunately, the boy was unharmed, and the neighbourhood breathed a sigh of relief as the playful incident concluded without injury.
