Data Reveals Immigrants Linked to High Crime Rates in Italy

New data from Italy’s National Institute for Statistics (ISTAT) shows that around half of all felonies are committed by individuals with an immigrant background, with a shocking 90% of sexual exploitation crimes attributed to migrants.

Among young foreigners aged 14-24, who make up 9.6% of the population, this group is responsible for over half of all thefts (50.2%), nearly half of robberies (48.1%), and almost half of sexual violence cases (47.7%).

In Milan, rising incidents of robberies, stabbings, and rapes have created fear among residents, prompting concerns about safety.
