The Abuja Rehabilitation Center was thrown into mourning on Friday night following the brutal murder of its principal, Bala Tsoho Musa.
The popular figure, affectionately known as “comrade,” was found lifeless at the center’s Kuchiko location in Bwari Area Council.
Established by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), the center provides vocational training for individuals detained for public nuisance.
Sources revealed to Daily Trust that Musa’s body was discovered alongside his wheelchair and a piece of wood, believed to be the murder weapon. Two of his mobile phones were also missing, suggesting a potential motive for the attack.
A neighbor recounted that due to the noise of the power generator, no one in Musa’s house was aware of the incident until a deaf maid raised an alarm.
The source told Daily Trust: “No one from the deceased’s house was aware of the incident, perhaps due to the sound of the power generator there, until a deaf female that usually assists the family as a maid raised an alarm on her way back to the hostel.”
Local authorities have launched a full-scale investigation into the murder.
The Divisional Police Officer of Bwari, CSP Babayola Muhammad, confirmed the incident, but further details remain unclear as the investigation continues.
