A 23-year-old man, Srikant Satre, tragically lost his life after being trampled by an elephant while attempting to take a selfie. The incident occurred in the Abapur forest near Gadchiroli, India.
Satre and two friends had ventured into the forest on Thursday, October 24, after hearing rumors of an elephant sighting. Despite the inherent danger, the group decided to approach the wild animal and pose for photographs.
As Satre attempted to capture a selfie, the elephant charged, resulting in his untimely death. His two companions managed to flee the scene unharmed.
