Three Brothers Murdered in Awka Cult Violence

Three brothers from the same mother have tragically lost their lives in a series of cult-related attacks in Awka, Anambra State.

The latest victim, Nonso, was killed in broad daylight on Saturday, November 2nd, near Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku.

Nonso’s death is believed to be linked to the murder of his younger brother, Buchi, three months earlier. Their eldest brother was also previously killed in a cult-related attack, leaving their mother devastated.

The recent spate of violence in Awka has claimed the lives of at least twenty people in the past few weeks. The ongoing conflict has brought back painful memories of past tragedies like the Nibo Massacre and Ifite killings.

Rival cult groups are locked in a deadly turf war, resulting in widespread fear and suffering. Anambra State Police Commissioner Nnaghe Obono Itam has condemned the latest killing and promised a thorough investigation.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has also appealed for calm and reassured citizens of increased security measures.
