Baltasar Ebang Engonga, Equatorial Guinea’s financial crime chief and head of the National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF), is at the heart of the country’s largest scandal after explicit personal recordings were leaked online.
The tapes, allegedly numbering over 300, depict Baltasar Ebang engaging in sexual intercourse with multiple women, some of whom are reportedly married, including the wife of the Presidential security head and his own brother’s spouse
The videos, allegedly recorded in various locations – including his office, hotels, and public spaces – were discovered during a corruption investigation.

Ebang had initially been detained on corruption charges, but the investigation uncovered the recordings on his personal devices. Authorities subsequently leaked the footage, sparking widespread outrage.
The scandal is particularly explosive given Ebang’s public profile and personal life; he is married and has six children.


The revelations have brought into question the personal and professional conduct of officials within Equatorial Guinea’s political landscape.
