The defamation case brought against social critic Vincent Otse, also known as Very Dark Man (VDM), by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana and his son, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has been adjourned to January 23, 2025.
The case, which is before the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, was stalled today, November 14, due to pending applications from both parties.
In October, Justice Matthias Dawodu granted an interim injunction restraining VDM from publishing further defamatory content against the Falanas. The judge also ordered the removal of the alleged defamatory video posted on September 24.
The Falanas are seeking N500 million in damages each, claiming that VDM’s allegations of corruption and perversion of justice are false and have damaged their reputations. VDM has filed an appeal against the interim injunction.
